History
In the 1960s the Triumph pre-unit was de rigeur for the ton up boys, cafe racers and rockers but the frame left something to be desired so many Triumphs were shoehorned into duplex BSA frames (Tribsas) and Norton frames (Tritons).
This particular machine came into possession of the current vendor in 2001 and was used regularly up until 2003 since when it has remained on SORN. It has a big bearing all-alloy Tiger 100 engine with sporty cams (E313X inlet and E3325 exhaust) and has provision for a rev counter, the drive being fitted to the timing case. The frame is a BSA Duplex B Series 500 GB33 from 1958.
The bike carries a transferable 1971 registration mark, AAR 5K, from when it was created. It has old MOTs from 1998–2004 and SORN documents since, together with a V5C and older V5. In good running order when it was put into storage, it will need some light recommissioning before use.
