History
This lovely little Austin may be cosmetically challenged but it is said to be mechanically excellent and to drive incomparably better than it looks. Believed to be wholly original and unmolested, it is actually a very rare car as the fastback six-light Sherborne was only produced for one year and no more than a handful are known to survive. With an MOT and tax until May 2008, it can be enjoyed as it is but will amply reward the sympathetic rejuvenation that it now so richly deserves. If you are wondering about the sunroof, by the way, it blew off on a motorway journey, never to be seen again...
