History
Produced from 1973 to 1980, the 450SL was briefly the most potent of the W107 SL range until it was trumped by the 500SL in 1978. With as much power as you could reasonably need from its big V8, it was a consummate long distance cruiser that was always a favourite with the jet-setters of the 1970s.
Said to be in fair condition throughout and to drive exceptionally well, this car has just completed a 2,000 mile tour around Northern France with no problems whatsoever. Complete with both hard and soft tops, it also has a radio/CD player and has just had new rear subframe mountings and four new tyres fitted. Supplied with an extensive service history, it is MOTd until August 2008 and taxed until February 2008.
