As the accompanying Heritage Certificate confirms, this TR6 was built in April 1974 and sold new to its first owner via J Mansbridge Ltd of Lincoln in August 1975. Originally Mimosa Yellow with black trim, it had overdrive and a heater.

Since then the car has had seven more owners and has been in the current ownership for 16 years. It comes with a very large history file back to the early 1980s to show regular upkeep, including a photograph album documenting a body-off restoration in 1983.

There are also bills for an engine rebuild in 1996 when the car was converted to run on unleaded fuel. In 1998 the speedo was re-set to zero and is now showing some 5,600 miles so it is likely that it has not done many more miles than this since the engine was rebuilt (close inspection of the history file will doubtless reveal the exact total). It has also been fitted with a high torque starter motor and a stainless steel exhaust.

Said to drive very well and to be in good condition throughout, it is also very sound underneath as the photos of the car on our website demonstrate when it was put on a ramp for our inspection. Supplied with the aforementioned history file and 30 old MOTs back to 1983, it is due to have a fresh MOT in time for the sale.
