First registered in March 1977, this MGB Roadster has been in the current ownership since 2009 and has covered some 6,000 miles during that time.
The vendor has maintained the car regardless of cost with regular servicing and many new parts to keep it in good running order. The braking system has been overhauled with a new master cylinder and new brake discs and pads. A new exhaust system has been fitted, the rear axle has been replaced, the speedo zeroed and recalibrated after it developed a fault and an electronic ignition conversion kit fitted for easier starting and smoother running.
Although there is no history prior to the vendor’s ownership, he believes that it was fitted with a new Heritage shell during an earlier restoration when chrome bumpers were also fitted. Finished in dark blue with a blue soft top and leather seats, it rides on Minilite-style alloys (including the spare), has a wood-rim sports steering wheel and an overdrive gearbox.
Said to be in good condition throughout and to drive well with an MOT until May 2017 with no advisories recorded, it is only reluctantly for sale due to ill health.
