First registered in August 1975 this MGB GT has been in the current ownership for 13 years with just four former keepers.
We are told that it has been substantially restored and upgraded in recent years with many new panels, new chrome all round and a respray in Tartan Red. The engine has been tuned to fast road spec, with lowered suspension, a rebuilt overdrive gearbox and a stainless steel exhaust with LCB performance manifold.
The seats have been retrimmed in black with red piping and a sports steering wheel fitted. Little used in recent times, an MOT check shows that the odometer was reading 12,915 miles in 2006, a total which has now only risen by around 200 miles. The vendor states that “the car is very quick, starts first turn of the key, sounds great and is in good condition all round”.
Supplied with an MOT valid until June 2017 with only minor advisories, it also has an original owner’s handbook and a workshop manual. Discreetly modified and very eye-catching, it should surprise quite a few modern cars when out prowling the lanes over the coming summer months.
