Unmolested, matching numbers Capri MkI’s are getting harder to find and for the Ford fanatic, the 3000E is considered to be the bees knees.

This superb manual 3.0 MKI comes in desirable ‘E’ form featuring a more luxurious interior spec and shows just 65,289 miles on the clock. Finished in eye-catching Le Mans Green with a black interior, it is said to be highly original and unrestored. A new vinyl top was fitted in April 2007 using new old stock sourced through the owner’s club. The car features a rare factory sunroof and also boasts the original radio and separate eight-track player complete with a selection of period eight-track cassettes.

The vendor acquired the car 12 years ago from a couple who had owned it since 1992 and has used it sparingly in fine weather only. The history file includes the V5C, a copy of the old V5, a sales invoice from 1992 showing the car only had 60,000 miles at that date, the original book pack and manuals including an unstamped service booklet. Invoices date back to the mid-2000s and seven old MOTs are also present.

Given how fast retro Fords have soared in popularity and climbed in price over the last few years, this exceptional MkI Capri looks like a sure-fire investment.
