Widely considered to be one of Ford’s greatest cars of the Noughties, the front-wheel drive 212bhp turbocharged MkI Focus RS wears its RS badge with pride and was a worthy successor to the Escort RS Cosworth. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to drive one, you already know this. If not, buy this one and savour its grin-inducing poise and purpose on a Welsh B-road!

This impressive hot-hatch was first registered in October 2003 and is one of the last of a short run lasting just 13 months ending in November 2003 with only 2,147 of the 4,501 produced destined for the UK market. The car boasts the usual mouth-watering RS Focus spec including: Brembo four-pot brakes; wider front and rear track; 2.0 Zeta engine with forged pistons; Garrett GT25 turbocharger; water-cooled charge air cooler; Quaife ATB differential; Sachs dampers and lightweight OZ alloy wheels allowing it to do things that beggar belief such as generate 0.98g in lateral acceleration!

Finished in Imperial Blue as they all were, the car has recently been treated to a quality cosmetic restoration and really looks the business. The interior has worn its 107,430 miles remarkably well with few signs of age or mileage on the blue and black suede and leather Sparco seats. The car boasts a good history with the service book showing nine stamps, the last in April 2018 which also included a timing belt change.

Said to run and drive as it should, this little rocket comes with a current MOT until April 2019 with no advisories and has clearly been cherished by its former keepers. Fast Fords only seem to go one way in value so jump in now and enjoy the ride!
