This lovely MGB has had only three owners from new, the first lady owning it for three years until the current keepers, a married couple, purchased the car in 1984 and have owned it together since, transferring ownership from one to the other in 1996.
The history file includes their original purchase invoice at which time is had covered 37,958 miles along with its original service booklet showing 12 stamps, 10 by MG dealers plus an additional 13 service invoices and old MOTs to back up its modest 73,954 miles today.
Looking most eye-catching in Snapdragon Yellow with green Sundym glass, this late rubber bumper GT features the four-speed gearbox with functional overdrive. The interior is pleasingly original with grey striped seats and black carpets. The stereo has been upgraded to a more modern CD player. The car comes with two sets of keys and we are informed the general condition is extremely good, no surprise given its comprehensive service history.
Always kept garaged, the car has seen little use in recent times, being in storage for eight years until 2012 and covering only 107 miles from July 1999 until January 2017, at which time £800 was spent on a service including new tyres. A compression test was carried out in February 2018 which showed good results ranging from 8.8 to 10 bar across the four cylinders.
MOTd until February 2019, it now only needs a new owner who can give it the more regular exercise it deserves and is being offered here with no reserve so someone could grab a bargain...
