Buyers please note, the images of the complete car were taken nine months ago prior to the vehicle's disassembly in readiness for restoration.
Our vendor has decided not to proceed with the restoration due to ill-health and as such, the car is offered ‘as is’ in a stripped and we are led to believe, complete state.
This January 1969 E-Type 4.2 manual fixed-head coupe was in regular use until the MOT expired in November 2008 at which point our Doctor owner put the car into his garage and there it remained. The mileage shows just 40,661 miles, believed genuine.
Prior to being taken off the road, the oxblood red leather interior was retrimmed and the brightwork rechromed which still looks good. The documents at the time of cataloguing include just the V5C, but it is hoped the history folder will be located by the time of the sale.
An interesting project no doubt, with an attractive estimate and an attractive plate, especially if you happen to be called Ray!
