Uncommon to find in a subtle hue, this Westfield SE is finished in Ivory with a smart deep red leather interior and has covered just over 24,000 miles since its build as a kit was completed in 1992.
Powered, as many are, by the famous Ford ‘Kent’ 1600cc engine from an escort MkII, it is believed to be fitted with an Ivor Searle head (although the paperwork references Ivor Searle, it’s somewhat unclear to what extent the car has been uprated by I.S) the car certainly sounds the business and goes like the clappers.
Featuring twin Delorto DHLA 40 carbs with a brace of Ram Air filters the car also benefits from Lumination electronic ignition and has recently been treated to a cooling system purge and re-filled with Evans water-less coolant along with new flexi pipes, a new fuel pump, filters, alternator and battery.
The car’s history file contains a wad of old invoices including the engine purchase with AA warranty from 1992, old tax discs, numerous old MOTs, the V5C and invoices for more recent works and parts. The car comes with a current MOT running until August of this year with only one advisory for a chip in the windscreen.
In case you get caught in a storm whilst out for a spirited run, this Westie comes with full weather gear and boasts a most useful heater.
