Supplied new in November 1954, this smart little A30 was treated to a comprehensive restoration over the summer of 2018 with photographs on file of the works undertaken. The work included an engine rebuild to stock 1,098cc spec and a completely retrimmed interior.
The car comes to us from a private collection, along with three other A30 and A35’s, all fully restored by the vendor’s firm bar the van, which is totally original. As a result, the works have been carried out through the business and no documentation is presently available to support the works – but even the briefest look at the car and it's plain to see the level of detail and restoration carried out.
Sitting on a smart set of Minilite style alloy wheels in gunmetal with powder blue bodywork, the car looks a treat, particularly with contrasting white roof and bumpers. On the inside you’ll see the interior has been re-trimmed to match the body with blue and cream seats with diamond pattern to the seat centres - all looking very distinctive and contemporary.
The history file with the car is sparse, with just the V5C, photographs of the restoration and an A30 owners club magazine from some years ago. The A30 is of course MOT and Tax exempt.
