Supplied new by Coventry Mazda in January 1995, this Stone Silver MX-5 1.8iS MkI has had just two owners from new, the current since 1999.
It has covered 79,400 miles with 12 stamps in the book, the last service being carried out in November 2004 at 75,818 miles. It has the 1.8 engine producing 129bhp mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and good for 0-60 in 7.9 seconds with a top speed of 126mph. Being a top spec iS model it also has power steering, anti-lock brakes, driver’s airbag, rear luggage rack, leather seats and aluminium highlights in the cabin.
Used only very lightly in the last 15 years, it has been unused and in storage for the last two years, the last MOT having expired in December 2017 with only one minor advisory, ‘n/s/r tyre 3mm’. Supplied with both hard and soft tops, it comes with its original handbooks and started promptly and ran nicely as we moved it around for these photos.
