Another of our charming A35s in today’s sale, this nicely patinated example dates from May 1959 and shows just a few owners on the current logbook having lived with our vendor since 1998.
It has spent much of that time covered up, in a garage until recently when he opted to get it out and get the little 948cc A-series running.
We gather it didn’t need much persuasion, but we’d suggest a thorough check-over before using in haste on our roads once again. The period registration pictured has been retained and an age-related plate will be assigned before the sale. The car looks to be in sound, unrestored order with that lovely ‘time-worn’ feel to it. Leave as is, or slowly use and improve – it’s your choice, however it’s got a certain apeal to it just as is.
The history file was not available at the time of cataloguing, but we are informed there is a folder of historic paperwork and invoices along with the V5C and somewhat unusually, an old photograph of the car when it was new outside the dealer with its first owners.
