Peugeot launched their now iconic GTi in 1984, initially with a 1.6-litre engine and subsequently with an improved 1.9-litre unit which gave an impressive 126 bhp. These cars formed the benchmark of performance and desirability in the hugely popular hot hatch market of the 1980s and early 1990s.

The rarest and most sought after examples today are the limited edition cars. The car offered is a limited edition 1.9 GTi “Sorrento Green” model of which only 300 were built. These few cars boasted an impressive specification including full leather seats, sliding sunroof, power assisted steering, disc brakes all round and 15” Speedline alloy wheels.

This stunning example is accompanied by a ream of service bills and twenty MOTs detailing the mileage and comprehensive maintenance history throughout the vehicle’s life. In 2013 a comprehensive restoration was started. The engine and mechanicals were overhauled, the leather interior treated, wheels refurbished, new tyres fitted and the car subject to a professional respray.

Since restoration the car has covered less than 200 miles and is accompanied with an MOT until April 2020, issued with no advisories.

The car is presented in beautiful all round condition. With only one registered keeper and its sub-75,000 miles supported by the service records that accompany the car, this is a rare opportunity to own one of the most desirable versions of these iconic GTi cars.
