The second of four G-Wagens in our sale today, this 230GE model uses the rugged 2.3-litre petrol engine. Offering significantly livelier performance than its diesel counterpart, its 125bhp and 141lb/ft of torque is actually more than the three-litre diesel model can muster, as well as being a bit more refined in the NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness) department.
The vendor purchased this 1987 example with just over 181,000 miles on the clock back in 2012. He has replaced the usual areas of bodywork corrosion with new metal replacement panels, the heavy-duty chassis remaining in good condition throughout. The car was then resprayed in its original red colour, the interior being described as being in above average condition.
MOTd until March 2015 with no advisories recorded, this well presented example is ready for immediate work. or play.
