History

Widely regarded as the most accurate and well-developed of the Morgan replicas, the JZR has been around for 20 years and is seen as a very usable and reliable alternative to the real thing. It is built around a square tube steel chassis with a galvanized floorpan and body sides and GRP upper panels. The front suspension, brakes and steering are usually Ford based, with Honda motorcycle suspension, brakes and transfer case at the rear. Power comes from a variety of engines, typically Honda's CX500 or 650 V-twin, or Moto Guzzi's 850 and 1000 V-twin with power transferred to the rear via shaft drive.

This example has been carefully assembled by an aircraft engineer who added details such as a WW2 Shackleton bomber starter button, high quality brake components and chrome plated lighting to complete a super-detailed build. Powered by a Honda CX650 engine, drive is through a five speed box to a specially engineered rear wheel. Period perfect wire wheels assembled onto new splined hubs complete the picture at the front.

With 66bhp on tap and weighing less than 400kg, this sweet handling trike is extremely fast and exciting, leaving most other traffic for dead. Said to be in outstanding condition throughout, it comes with a current V5 and a fresh MOT. All you need to supply are the goggles and the grin!
