Part of the appeal of the Ferguson TE20 was the incredible range of purpose-built attachments that were available. Literally any job around the farm was catered for, the tractor’s flexible hydraulic system allowing implements to be attached all over the tough little machine.
The Ferguson plough was one of the most popular. Designed to operate in tandem with the tractor’s hydraulic system, it transferred the resistance encountered when pulled through the soil into down-force over the rear wheels through a brilliant three-point linkage, turning the lightweight Fergie into a heavyweight ploughing machine.
This lot of implements includes a two-furrow Ferguson plough along with a nice original transport box (very handy for general duties around the farm) and a rare earth scoop, a device used to level land and move large quantities of earth around the farm with minimal effort.
With so many items to choose from, there are very few Fergie collectors who can boast a ‘full-house’ of kit, but this interesting and useful lot looks like an excellent start, offering the iconic plough, a useful transport box and a rare and desirable earth scoop.
